Loneliness and Literature

Sat 5th August, 12 noon: Two authors discuss anxiety and loneliness and how they relate to their novels. Gail Honeyman will talk about her extraordinary debut Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine and her unforgettable central character Eleanor.

Exploring what it’s like to be an outsider looking in, the book depicts the loneliness of life and the simple power of a little kindness. Garnering widespread affection and praise from the likes of Jojo Moyes, Bryony Gordon and Dawn O’Porter, hear from the author of the most anticipated novel of 2017.

CJ Cooke is an award-winning poet, academic and author. Her latest novel I Know My Name takes a stark look at post-natal depression and motherhood.
